St. Martin's Celtic Cross
This design is based on St. Martin's Cross, an old stone Celtic cross situated near to the site of St. Columba's cell on the Scottish island of Iona. St. Columba settled here after being banished from Ireland for copying the Book Of Psalms written by Finnian of Clonard, probably the first known case of infringement of copyright, and subsequently established a monastery on the small remote island. This beautiful design, stitched in greys and beiges, is perfectly completed with a rich edging of gold. Fabric: 14 HPI Aida
